Those were the Jurassic days of MINI tuning (as evidenced by his title sponsor of the #20 car). Tony was a Porsche Club racer who did a lot for early development of the racing chassis. Pretty nice guy as well. Randy Smalley actually went much further in R53 race development and was competitive at a time when the KONI Challenge was much tougher.
