I found this relaxing. Enjoy [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e_k2NlHODA4&feature=player_embedded]YouTube - FD Sonoma: Tilt-Shift Formula Drift[/ame]
Tilt shift lenses result in the blurriness at the top and bottom of the frame which tricks the eye into thinking that it's a macro shot. This generally makes landscapes, people, and cars look like tiny toys from a train set or something.
It does exactly that - makes everything look like toys - that's pretty amazing stuff! As to the drifting? Meh.......
The lensing is designed to correct perspective distortion in horizontal and vertical arrays such as building facades... the effects we see in these tilt-shift 'toy' shots are a deliberate hobby reappropriation of the capabilities of the lens to get this look, which is completely awesome. I love it.
Rather enjoy tilt shift, I wish I could get into it myself. Here is one of my faves [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LkrtYRxGyuo]YouTube - Bathtub IV[/ame]
Cool...In both of them I was anticipating seeing Ringo Starr and Thomas the Train appear at some point
I agree with you on drifting...... I got a kick of seeing the "Umbrella" girls....... look like ducklings, all in a row.
Now that is funny, I thought the very same thing. Wonder if I can get my Babs to be an umbrella girl for me. :ihih: That second video was crazy good. I'd have paid to see that on the big screen.
Wow....cool stuff. Don't know how I missed seeing this earlier. Loved playing around with an old large format camera back in the day and doing this. Never knew you could do it with video.
Heh, Heh, Heh...... Makes me feel like a giant voyeur, spying on a bunch of little ant people. Wait..... what...... Did I just say that:eek6:
