I sent an email to The other tuner on march 12 asking for advice on 380cc as 450cc injectors and asked if he could preorder parts for me which I would pay for when I paid for the install. Additionally due to my sister's upcoming wedding I wasn't sure of the date and it was going to move up to the 24th. I never received an email responding to any of these issues. Mynes answered the questions, provided documentation, and was willing to preorder parts for me, and always answered my emails. I didn't hear from the other tuner for two weeks until today asking if I was still coming for the tune. Never a response from my last email. I initially wanted to go with the other tuner but every email I sent to Mynes was answered, the mechanic called to answer questions, and they were very helpful. It basically came down to communication. I don't want to get into a battle of tuners. I made my decision based on communication from those I needed info to answer questions, order parts, and accommodate a floating schedule.

Fold those mirrors in at speed and you should get 2-4 mph on the top end. :D

Good numbers. How you like them extra ponies?

You have an awfully nice list of mods already installed, as well as mods you'd like to install, but one mod has NOT been addressed and it's the most important one of all...SEAT TIME. You're going to have a pretty fast little beastie, but it won't mean much if you yourself are not in tune with your mods and cannot control it safely. If you have not already done so, get a helmet and some seat time, either at autocross events or at a track during some HPDEs like BMW CCA or SCCA, etc.

I hear ya. I am signed up for the BMW CCA autocross in San Diego this weekend. It's a two day autocross event with continuous laps on Sunday. I'm really looking forward to it.

 Just me. I was thinking the same thing. If you squirt more fuel with big injectors then, let it breath better with better heads.

Header and head or next on my mods list. Probably by the end of the summer. Btw, I am registered to drive in the BMW CCA autocross two day event at the Q on April 9-10. I signed up for both days. I hope to see some fellow San Diegan MINI drivers out there.

Was this before or after you dumped out on a appointment to get a pulley and a tune with someone else?

    Results are in:
Baseline Dyno: 2006 MCSa, Magnaflow Exhaust, JCW CAI w/ Madness Filter, GP IC w/ DDM ICD
    Max Power = 149.34 HP
    Max Torque = 144.05 lb/ft

Final Dyno: 2006 MCSa, Magnaflow Exhaust, JCW CAI w/ Madness Filter, GP IC w/ DDM ICD, 17% WMW S/C Pulley, NGK Spark Plugs, Bosch 550cc Injectors, Mynes Performance Tune (Performance Bushings for lower engine mount, and new OEM upper engine mount)
    Max Power = 180.92 HP
    Max Torque = 168.62 lb/ft

    21% Increase in horsepower
    17% Increase in Torque

I was told this was the highest increase they had seen for an automatic given the modifications and tune. Needless to say I am very pleased with the results.

I bought the mirrors from newministuff.com. The mirrors with the autofold module was $500. The install took about 5hrs wasn't hard, but tedious. I love them though.

I love the extra gains. I'm still getting used the extra NVH from the performance bushings. Not too bad but definitely noticeable. I am very happy with my mods. The performance, gadgets, and other personalization modifications are awesome and I definitely have made this MINI fit my personality.

I too also have an automatic. You will notice more vibration in the summer with the ac on. I did and had to remove the lower engine mount bushing. The auto vibrates more due to always being in gear compared to the manuals.

I am planning to get the oil changed this week. Thanks! I am also going to take another look at the oil pan gasket when I put some spacers on the X-Brace to give some extra clearance for the cat and x-brace.

I'm totally looking forward to that AutoX event coming up. Can't wait and will take tons of pics!!!

Took my car in today to Mynes. They changed the oil and changed some of the settings for tune. The settings have made a difference. Doesn't rattle like it did when stopped and the gas mileage is perfect, right about where it was. Plus tooling around town the fuel delivery is so consistent. Thanks Mike, Jason, and Will. You guys rock!!
