I take the BMW CCA Driving Schools at Putnam Park, IN, and Mid-Ohio, OH, every chance I get, because they help keep me "in practice" for the stuff that goes on during interstate and other highway driving. Besides, since one can never be too visible in a MINI, it just makes good sense to me to take the schools so that I may perhaps be better able to avoid any potential problems coming my way. The seat time I get at the track makes me feel a lot safer on the road long after the schools are done.

I'll definitely be back up when I can afford a header. I think that is my next major mod. Head and camshaft is a little too much for me to afford at this time. My MINI is way faster now and I'm very pleased with the results.

I'll be interested in your numbers after you do thr rest of your mods. The best that I have heard of is in the 20 HP range for the automatic. I have what you want and then some, but with the automatic it shifts to early and I haven't found anyone who can change that.

You are correct, my redline is stuck at 6800 rpm. However that enables me to install a 17% pulley without the fear of pushing the S/C past its limits since my redline is already lower than a stock manual trans. I have spoken with someone who has a 2006 MCSa JCW tuned and they claim 210hp. A tune, pulley, plugs, CAI, IC, injectors, and exhaust can easily get more than 20hp gain to an automatic. 6800 rpm redline limits the same gains in a comparably equipped/tuned manual trans, but the auto isn't debilitating.
