I have the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric all season for my winter tire. I like 'em. 45K mile tread life limited warranty.

 

I usually get between 20-25K out of a set of high performance all seasons, and it doesn't seem to matter if they're 50K warranted or not!

I'm currently running Michelin Pilot Sports - I usually don't buy Michys because they cost so damn much but I got these on mega sale, we'll see how long they last.

I really liked the Kumhos and Conti DWS I've run in the past, but again - 20-25K is all they last. Now that I'm only driving less than 5K a year, it doesn't really matter as much how long they last......

 

I've used Continental DWS and Michelin Pilot Sport AS3 tires on my daily beater Honda. I get between 40-55K miles per set. I'm still on the run flats on the MINI. I always used the Pirelli Euforias like it had OEM. Those would deliver between 15-18K miles on the fronts (Treadwear 140), then I'd move the rears to the front and install new rear tires. At ~$260 each, I didn't want to buy 4 at a whack. I'm ditching the run flats this summer and trying Pilot Super Sports on the MINI.

 

I just put Continental ControlContact Sport AS tires in 215/45 17 on my MINI, they are made for Discount tire by Continental. They are supposed to have stiffer sidewalls than the Continental DWS and they have a 50,000 mile warranty.

I like them.

 

Hankook Ventus V2

We have installed hundreds of these for use in SoCal driving-available in a 500 tread wear that generally goes 25-30 k on most customers car and a Ventus V12 Evo2 in 340 treadwear, which I run on the 225 hp shop car. I ran thru the last set of the 340s in 15000 VERY HARD miles. I usually get 25000 on my other cars with mostly hard driving. AND they are quite budget friendly at under 100 each.

 

I ran Continental DW 215/45 /17 - treadwear 340. They easily gave me 2 summers including trips from Philadelphia to MOTD. I average 800 - 1000 miles a month.

 

Buy a set of Pilot Super Sports and call it good.

 

Hankook Ventus V2.... FTW

 

I had the Continental DWS on for 42k mi. 2 are at the D and 2 still have DW. I think they are a good compromise compared to AS tire I've had in the past. I'm putting on Continental DW next week. They are rated at 340 and from people that have them they seem to last well. The Michelin Super Sports are suppose to be better. But they are $30 more per tire.

I have the Nitto Motive tires on the wife's Focus ST. They stick great, handle well, and are quite. But they won't last as long as the DWS did. The price was great.

The Conti DW is a great tire, and very quiet and well mannered with a ton of grip.

The only drawback is that they have softer sidewalls, so while they do ride nice, you'll get a little less feedback thru the steering wheel.

 

I'm on my 3rd summer with my Michelin Pilot Super Sports. This will probably be the last. They did have a few AutoX sessions in there as well.

 

I am usually a Michelin driver, but bought some Hankook Ventus S1 Noble2 tires over a year ago because Tire Rack rated them almost as high as Michelin AS tires, and they were about half the price.

I have been quite happy with them. Wear is excellent, and traction is very good. I am especially pleased with the wet traction.

I am a Dunlop Star Spec guy but they only have a rating of only 200.
I am in the Northeast so I run Winter tires also for 6 months.

I can get 2 years out of one set since I only run them in the Summer only.

 

I'm looking at going with the Star Specs for my R53 - what size do you run?

And LOVE them.

 

I had two sets of Hankook Evo2 and now use Michelin Pilot Super Sport with 300 rating. I think they are better in every way to the Hankook except for price. They are wearing very well and have a 30,000 mile warranty (of course pro-rated). Take a chance on the Pilot Super Sports rather than a compromise for All-Season.
