I got one of those tool kits in a flat, blowmolded plastic box, it has everything, metric and SAE combination wrenches and sockets as well as screwdrivers and torx drivers.
Crescent makes a nice 170 piece one, they have them at Costco. It fits nicely in the under floor storage in my Clubman, with room for a fire extinguisher, a first aid kit and a slime kit for the tires.
