Well, alledged racism aside.......I didn't find the show to be very entertaining this time around. Maybe I'm just getting jaded or used to their antics.... I didn't want to say anything till others had had a chance to download it and watch for themselves.
Ye..not one of their best. But compared with most of the schlock we have on TV these days it was still darn good. None of them ran into the other when parking in this one. Thats rather odd...for this group. I guess seeing the American Top Gear copy them and run it into the ground it's now passe.
If I remember my Top Gear correctly, Jeremy Clarkson tends to make fun of everyone and displays cultural ignorance in every country they have visited. He did say in one episode that Americans had mated with vegetables. This latest episode is nothing new for his antics. But perhaps it is going on a bit too far.
People are so overly sensitive. Many of the so-called "digs" could have been universally applied to many other locations and cultures. Usually people react as such when innuendo strikes too close to the truth. "23 complaints" out of how many millions of viewers? That's not too bad. Back in my Navy days when I traveled a lot as part of an overseas-based staff, I almost always suffered from Montezuma's Revenge when in India -- and in Thailand, Malaysia, and South Korea too. I'd still rather try the local cuisine than eat at MacDonalds. The only part of the show that I found offensive was the way they treated that sweet classic Mini... :frown5:
