Chuck, unless you got a new PC or glasses, perhaps you were celebrating just a wee bit too much last night ;)

Well, I did get new spectacles as a matter of fact.....
I also increased my internet speed and updated VLC Media player...

So yep, all good things happened since last year viewing Top Gear...

Heck, some of the shows didn't even completely download, the show would just stop before the segment even finished.... It would drive me crazy....

But all is good now... This is probably the first Top Gear that I could completely finish from start to ending.... The Universe has righted itself...:D

Funny you mention the VLC player, last TG's I downloaded needed that to play, this one played in Win 7 Media player just fine....

Was Win 7 the difference? Or did I just get a much updated Win Media Player with my recently installed win 7?

Quick one on the Mini, over here across the pond, when TG trash a seemingly good car it has generally been written of by an insurance company as beyond economical repair. The other way they get cars is from the UK proceeds of crime act, a judge may confiscate a criminals car and apply for its destruction, hence why Clarkson trashed an awesome Evo 7 with one of our tanks. Mini fans may be interested to know that the mini has since been re-taxed by Hammond indicating it is going the same way as Oliver eg: restored.

Good for the Hamster! Saving another nice Mini....

Just think, if they change the import law to 15 years, we could be bringing up to 1997 models here legally!

Not sure what you're asking here.....but currently the law is 25 year old cars can be imported to the US legally, there was a movement recently to change that to 15 years, but I don't think it passed.

Actually, the current law makes little sense, given that most cars today no matter the country of origin (with a few exceptions) all pass the same stringent emissions and safety laws, that wasn't true back in the 80's when the law was passed. Also, given the current economic climate, there aren't the huge currency differences that made it so much cheaper to import a German car rather than buy it here.
