I don't buy they didn't know what they were doing. They sure as hell did know & it backfired on them but good. They were lucky they didn't lose more than the 3 they had already killed plus a bunch of windows & dented fenders.

I have always liked Top Gear, but going to that part of Argentina was about the dumbest thing they could have done. Who the hell thought "I know, we'll send the guys to the naval base in Argentina that was the home port of the Admiral Belgrano, which the Royal Navy sank during the Falklands war with the loss of 323 lives. I am sure that they will be greeted with open arms, with no ill feeling whatsoever". Captain slow at least should have known better, he is supposed to be the history buff of the three. Stupid, and that's from a Brit.

Wow...what an eventful conclusion. At first I thought the whole confrontation was staged but then you can sense the genuine fear in the voices of the crew.
Too close for comfort.-

All the complaints they get about Clarkson's comments... Maybe it was just too tempting for someone in the head office...
Hey.... Let's send the boys to "the end of the earth"....-

It so pained me to see them thrash those cars, particularly the Esprit. Big surprise that it was by far the most reliable of the three!

I heard about it but have not watched it yet. I figure they knew what they were doing but it back fired. Argentina is not a country I'd be visiting and high lighting I'm from England.....
In Spanish but some good photos.
