MINI and Subie were both in the garage. Two corgis and two neighbors' corgis were under desk. Very crowded.

Mark, that movie came out before the recent discoveries by investigative reporters form the Enquirer. Turns out the Wiz had a thing going with the wicked witch of the east, until Dorthy dropped the house on her and it is unclear why she was not charged with "failing to control a flying house resulting in wrongful death". When the Wiz heard that the perpetrator and her henchmen were headed his way, he started courting the wicked witch of the west, leading her to believe she would become the next queen of the Emerald City, when all he really wanted was control of the flying monkeys. When Dorthy killed her too, the monkeys were all his. Feeling the pressure, as Dorthy seemed to be growing in power, it is believed he hopped the next tornado and ended up in St Louis. Being a master of curtains, smoke, fake palm trees and other stage related items, he is now working as a stage designer awaiting his opportunity to use his flying monkeys and turn the U.S. into another Oz. Now, just sit back and think about all that for a minute.

I heard the warning sirens going off, but nothing locally happened. Got a bunch of rain in a short period of time. It was really coming down. Buckets...
-
We are all fine, Jebwooly. There was some hail around. We will see if anyone reports dents. I was garaged.

Crazy weather.....
It's 50F out right now, with a chance of snow showers tonight. Ugh!!! -
We are getting the "buckets" now. I have a Greyhound, Fox Hound and a Jack Russel all stuffed under the desk, so it is hard to type.
Glad you all are OK Karol and that you found shelter in the garage. Was the MINI outside? :cornut:

No twisters here. There was one reported up in northern Knox county, no damage.
MM/Chuck- The sirens that you heard were for a statewide tornado preparedness test. What timing eh?? -

Damit Chuck you beat me to it. I laughed this morning when the news people said there will be a tornado test then the weather person said there is a chance of tornados today. We can't just wait for a sunny day to do a tornado drill?
Dublin had about 10 minutes of dime sized hail my building was so loud you could not hear anything over the hail pelting the roof. -

We had hail for a few minutes & then BIG RAIN for a while more. It was one fast moving storm.
-
Well, I can tell you for a fact that there is not much wind at all up at the top of a tornado, but it does suck stuff up from the bottom and toss it out the top. So, just keep in mind that the safest place to be is near the top. We chased one for about half an hour and that is the honest truth. :eek6:

Tornado hit in Greensburg, PA near where I live.

Once a week every Wednesday at noon. Yesterdays was at something like 10am...
-
So what, you are more of a hurricane??? A week's warning. Destructive as hell...
-
More like a fast moving Tropical Storm, lots of noise, little disruption.

We were in Columbus all day yesterday, at MedVet, with my dog [needs cataract surgery]. It was nice, but windy, as we left around 3. On Rt. 33 near Marysville, the sky turned black as night, but we missed that and I thought we'd have clear driving back to Piqua...NOT. We cleared Urbana on US 36 and hit the mother of all hailstorms. The sky to my north was pinkish and to the south and due west, black as night. I had just told my wife that all hell was gonna break loose when it hit us fullbore...wind, rain, thunder, sky to ground lightning and...OMG hail for nearly 15 miles. We were forced to drive around 30 mph, as there was no place to turn off the road. It was hard to keep the Sonata [thank God it wasn't the MINI] on the road, so yeah, I'd say the warnings were about right. Unfortunately, we didn't get them. If I had taken the MINI, it would now be a Royal Grey golf ball in appearance....:frown2:
