    ^^^ Especially metric tape....

Just get your hands on some ANSI tape, and use an exacto knife and trim in down to metric....

    Works every time....

A piece of black tape placed strategically over the light & you are good to go. No need for tire nanny's.

Seat belts are a federal mandate also but people choose not to use them.

    Tape is the fix.

I know it is, just stated the obvious. Most inspection stations won't even fall a car with the TPMS on. I agree tape is the fix.

I would never use tape as a replacement for seat belts. :D

I'm fond of using gaffer's tape to kill unwanted lights. Leaves no residue when removed.

Thank you, tape is hard to find but I will manage lol I wasn't sure if it was like my sister's focus where you get a message in your information display. I got the TPMS for my focus ST winter wheels for that reason. This way she can save a few bucks.

    Thank you for the answers.

Just ignore the light, it won't hurt anything, or like Crashton says....a strategically placed bit o tape......but no, I don't think you can turn the system off.

did a little digging around and found this info.
TPMS is a federal mandate, not likely that they will come check your tpms. Outside of flashing your ECU, you will be unable to get rid of the warning light, but tape over the light will block it out.
