Because anyone that's had them

Didn't know the TR3 could have rear seat either......but here is a picture of one.
Triumph TR3 "B"
Not a seat I would want to use! -
I know they were a pain, as Mr Jim says, but today they should be able to make some that are tune free.

Borrani makes a wire wheel for the MINI as well. Looks darn good but the price may cause you to choke.

Actually I love wire wheels on some of the old sports cars!!! PITA to keep clean though.... -
As for tuning.. took me two weeks on those SU carbs.. THOSE were a blast to mess with, and mess with, and mess with..lol But when they were correct.. that little 4 cylinder would rock on the SoCal freeways!!
We actually sold it for the first child.. we didnt feel there was enough room!! And then there was the 67 fastback mustang ( thumper)
Good memories! Thanks

Classic Minis never came with wire wheels, so I don't see the look on the new cars either.
Modern spokes are stainless, and stay true and in balance just like any other wheels.
Truing a wire wheel is a lost art, I'll bet there are only a handfull of people left alive who can still do it. -
