We use Yoko Advan Neova AD08 215/40R17 on Enkei wheels, works great for Street and Track. For more add'l grip, we use the Advan A048...

Back when we were running our Evo9 at TA events, we were using the A048... and that's one of the main reasons why we approached Yoko to be one of our partners for the MINI Ride and Drive
BTW, OS Giken is our clutch and diff sponsor... their MSRP is not cheap compared to Clutch Master or Exedy, but their clutch & diff combo performed flawlessly at the latest TA event.
Those who are attending the Mini Ride N Drive this weekend at the Home Depot Center in Carson will get to test out these components first hand... the BumbleBeast will be on display and for VIP ridesCheers...

Price has gone up a little, bummer--I was debating between the Nitto's and the new Toyo RA 888's, got the Nitto's, and absolutely love them--so much so I'm afraid to switch to anything else short of Hoosier's; I'm afraid I'd be disappointed....
I had one of my instructors in my car this year, he races an old 911, and he was looking for a replacement for the RA1's (this was before Toyo decided to bring them back for the Miata crowd), he wasn't too keen on the R888's--we were at Blackhawk in my car, he was really impressed how sticky the car was, asked me what tires I was running--he now is running the Nitto's too and loves them (and he is a VERY good driver, usually finishes top three in his class). -

I'll put in my vote for the NT-01. I got a set about a year ago, and I LOVE them. I got them to replace a set of RA-1's, and I've been very impressed with them. They have the same forgiving nature, same endurance, similar consistency cold to hot. The RA-1 was a bit better on that last point, especially in really cold weather. The Pilot Sport Cup was more consistent from warm to very hot at MSR in the summer, but the price of those kept going up and up until they were beyond my reach.
Like the RA-1, the NT-01 seems to wear like iron, even on the ultra-abrasive Streets of Willow. And yes, they are surprisingly good in the wet. -
onlinetires was actually cheaper than Discount Tires, but Discount offered free shipping, if you can pick up the tires in OC, onlinetires is the best deal for Nittos.
