I'm just reporting the news here. Have no idea what the US regulators are up to, there was nothing in article about that and the NHSTA site has nothing on MINI water pumps..
RealOEM doesn't list Canada, just US and Europe. I can't imagine there is a difference in a part like this between US and Canada.
There does appear to be multiple part numbers for the water pumps depending on year.

Seems like what is good for the goose (Canada) ought to be good for the gander (U.S.).
(Nothing implied by the association of waterfowl sex with country; I just really liked applying that idiom. :aureola- Like x 1

So they put different water pumps on in Canada then they do in the States? Odd...

:cornut: Mr Nathan Sir,
(08 R56 MCS/JCW 6spd man)Any info on US models? My primary water pump went out/replaced several months ago by MINI. Also a computer module had to be replaced as the fan/coolant system wouldn't come on after the car was shut down and they replaced the thermostat also. So...............maybe my car already had that issue and they fixed it?

[Bitter Rant] Just opened in October. With the rate that the NHTSA investigates things we won't have a resolution until June. Most likely BMW will pay-off the right officials to keep quiet and say nothing is wrong. [/Bitter Rant]
