Take off the front wheel and it will fit in the back with the seats down. Cost 0

Or you can get the MINIFINI hidden hitch setup.

 

Both wheels and seatpost off. Flop down the seats and put the fork behind the passenger seat with the bike upright, wheels can be placed next to the bike on the folded down seat. If you plan on doing it more than once, get a hitch mount rack.

 

My rack

I didn't want to run roof racks due wind noise and blocking my sunroof. So, I can up with this: Bought a receiver that is very stealth and didn't require removal or cutting of the bumper cover to install:

Then measured the spread to center my bikes using the Thule Sidearms (I already have 3). Drew it up and took it to my local welding shop and had this fabricated and powder coated. I've used it this weekend with 2 bikes and still room for a 3rd.

You mean transport? There are several means. Get a roof rack and bike carrier attachment. Or check out MINIFINI.com for their hidden hitches to get whatever receiver style bike hauler you want.

Just last week installed a Curt hitch on my 'new' used 2010 Cooper S (very straightforward install) and this WE used a Prorack (Yakima) 4 bike rack to transport 4 bikes: 2 adult and 2 kids bikes. The whole setup is outstanding!
I'll post pictures shortly.
Next task is figuring out how to wire a trailer wire harness to the Cooper without running a battery wire under the entire car.

 

MINI Fini makes some nice stuff. USA made, high quality.

 

personally I just take the wheels off and stuff it in the back. Others have larger bikes and need a rack solution...
