I bet it's really smuggled Canadian Syrup leaking from stealth pirate aircraft.

If it has hardened then for the glass a razor blade to scrape it off. On the paint I've laid warm moist towels over the affected area to soften and dissolve the stuff. -
On paint I have always found that generous use of Turtle Wax BugTar remover works quite well. Just work in circles and bit by bit it will dissolve. The key is to never let the paint dry out while you are working. Ditto with Nathan on removing the crap from glass.

I think what you have on your car is not sap. It is honey dew or bug carp if you'd rather. I find that it is water soluble. Be careful with Turtle wax bug tar remover, it has an abrasive in it & can leave micro scratches. WD40 works well for tar spots & bug guts too. Not sure how it will work on sap carp.

Thanks for all of the replies, they are much appreciated! Will try the warm moist towel first and see what that can do for me. Have already tried swirl, finish and amigo on it with no luck (during my detail this weekend). Most of it chips off of the glass but leaves behind a very hard thin layer that keeps chipping the razor blades...
Oh and by the way... it does not taste like maple syrup... :donut1: Thanks for getting my hopes up Zapski :cryin: -
