yes past few days ive only gotten to get on it maybe once... always down... no idea whats up


sucks.... i guess ill just hang out here, but there just isnt nearly the same amount of traffic....

I've been having problems with NAM being very slow for some weeks now. I sent a message to the moderator about it two weeks ago and never received a reply.

Yesterday I couldn't get onto NAM at all for most of the day. Must be something seriously wrong.

 

I am having the same problem. I bet the traffic here has spiked.

I hope they fix it soon.

I quit NAM...don't use it anymore...it had gotten to the point where I got more and more frustrated with it...I can find all of the same stuff NAM has on all the other sites I use...Plus, the community is much nicer...especially here :yesnod:

 

Hi all, first post. Been over on NAM for a couple of years (screen name- gaffer). Their page won't even load for me anymore. When it will, the site is painfully slow; not a lot of posts anymore. Looks like everybody is coming over here.

 

Traffic has increased, and is greatly appreciated.

I mean no ill will on "that other site". Heck, most of us got our start there and well, without that site I'd never of created this one.

I could sit here and laugh at IB for letting this happen to their site but I'm not one to dance on another's grave.

However, what you are experiencing is one of the fundamental differences between sites run by the big aggregaters and an independent that is also active in the community.

The connectivity issues will be fixed and I'd hope many of you that are just here because there isn't there right now will stick around here and help to grow M/A into a better place.

I can't thank those that have been a part of growing this site enough and to those just dropping in, please stop by more often, we always have new things we try out.

I have no intention of quitting NAM, but I hardly post there anymore. I read a couple of forums, mostly detailing, and our club forum, which I wish was more active on this site.

As Nathan said, NAM is where a lot of us got connected with other MINI enthusiasts. I met some very interesting people there, including my wife

Motoring Alliance reminds me of the "old" days on NAM. So if your here because you can't get on NAM, look around, sign up, visit often, and invite your friends.

"that other site" that will remain NAMeless. It is really only good for Classifieds on Used parts and Rims. Its like MIMIeBay. I think of the NAMeless site as an encyclopedia, great to have for references but hardly use it.

It is also good for little laugh with all the BS "he said she said" fanboi threads between Mynes and RMW.

I also sold my Black Wow quicker than you know what goes through a goose through them :lol:

Yep, NAM has been slow for a couple of weeks now. If you send information about the slowness to a moderator you're often treated like some dweebe that doesn't know jack about the internet.

I'm moving here...officially!:devil:
