Case in point that IB only cares about the advertising dollars this questionable vendor generates. Now I can appreciate taking care of the people that take care of you. Thats business and IB has to answer to their shareholders. Honestly we do not pay squat here or on the sewing site. What I think is lost to them though is that if the 'product' loses it quality the reason the vendors pay advertising goes away, the readership. That argument does not hold much water cause it seems for every experienced MINI enthusiast that bails 3 more noobs sign up. #'s look good to the advertisers but content fades I'm not sure how the internet business works as far as how advertsing rates are realized. I'm guessing based on verifiable subscribers. That being the case it's gonna be a long profitble slide for the sewing site opcorn:
Well the interweb is international, so pick the rights system that works for you. This recommendation by IB sounds more like a certain shady vendor needs a good spin doctor, because the vendor just keeps digging a deeper hole. Now that tends to cause waves on the site, gets folks riled up, poop gets flung about, the range of one's urine is used as a measuring device, the Mods get drawn in, letting other issues slid, feelings are hurt, tears are shed, and the community suffers. Mark
To be sure the sewing site is really getting out of hand. Not only are they now restricting who can respond to who, but the mods are even editing posts w/o notifying the poster......and giving out infractions for it. goaljinky...I was mistaken on the infraction cost. It was 100 points, but he got 2 25 pointers given out for sig violations LOL And now he has 2 stikes LOL
I think this may be a personal attackrrr: Motor On Man Behind the Curtain iTrader: 100% (1) Quote: Originally Posted by lotsie Plus you get to meet members from all the different MINI web sites, who will go unnamed. I hadn't been over on the Dark Side for awhile so I went to see if anything interesting had showed up. I guess I had not realized how negative most of the posters are. M/A really is very civilized. Jim
Not only that, but the site itself works like cr@p lately too. I'm over there very infrequently anymore....
I hardly go there anymore, as well. one mod in particular has become quite the... and it has made me choose M/A. Which turned out to be the right choice!
I got a hoot out of this... Somewhat of an esoteric joke here so here goes. The site this was found on is owned by Internet Brands. The banner is for a site owned by Vertical Scope. These are direct competitors in the big time auto forum space. Like I said, I found it funny...
+1. This just goes one more step in proving that they continue to operate the sewing site from 50,000 feet instead of being involved with its approach and members. Thanks Nathan!
Gee, I don't have a problem anymore......... ...as I don't go there any more (or rather am not allowed to)
I have been awaiting almost a year for authorised activation on that ******* site, and countless emails to administration, most of which Nathan got and forward to administration, I am still awaiting activation so I can post up a thread. I don't know who is in charge, but they need to get on with answering there ******* emails. Yes you could say I am slightly ****** with them, however I am very very happy on here.
Trouble With Nam Great, now I know what the 'sewing sight' is and I don't have to use the term 'eNAMored' any more.:cornut: Jason
