I really wanted to start a thread, "My genitals are bigger than yours" (See last post in locked thread).... MINI COOPER :: North American Motoring - Camshaft Re-Grind But I already got a warning for recommending that the poster talk to the individual vendors in pm's or by phone, as they weren't going to be able to figure it out from the forums....That post was deleted, and I received a warning for trolling, so I figure a thread contemplating gonadal size doesn't stand a chance. I give up, it's marketplace only for me over there now. It's really sad what is happening over there; It's not a horrible site, but it's not what it used to be.
I read the last few posts, just to get a feel. I can only take so much of that site anymore. But it must have been good. Brought all the old antagonists out of the wood work.
cct1 You must have gotten the BOOT too. I don't feel bad now. Motor On tossed me for saying "here we go.........................." "It's been so nice around here lately" I guess I have to find a bridge to live under and collect tolls "I was bad because I was trolling"
I don't know if it's the moderators or the whiny beotches that drive me nuts more. 'My Penis/God/Tuner is larger than yours so there!' Seems to be the theme that I hope doesn't migrate here I do go to NAM but it only the Marketplace and Vendor Announcement with the occasional troll of Detailing 101
When ever possible I recommend to join MA. This is a bit like nam was pre 05 when information was clean. Unfortunately everybody that has owned a MINI for more then 4 years is an expert now on everything about them over on nam.
Then you're in trouble, cause he always PM's me when ever you PM him. Of course I PM Jan. And round and round it goes.
Just found out that our favorite sewing site has banned our bldg's IP. Don't understand why that would be a problem, but hey whatever floats their boat...........
They will keep adding filters to their site to the point where someday the only people allowed on the site will be the moderators.:lol::lol: Won't that be something like the snake eating it tail?????:ihih:
Two words: Proxy Servers. Third word: aliases. I think I still have about a half dozen accounts on there that I never used.
What's so sad about he whole recent episode is that one of the largest cam manufactures in the USA, if not the world, goes in and tries to clear up some misconceptions and he gets no welcome from any moderators and actually gets told he can't post the way he wanted too. What joke.... But when NAM's "EF Hutton" vendor speaks, everybody listens......ut::lol:
This was a favor asked of Dave Crower for the Mini community. I can not in good faith ask him to continue posting anything else on that forum. I really think he has better things to do with his time. He and I thought that by him posting would help some understand and clear Q&A on the thread topic. This is disgraceful for nam because if ever any other recognized and historical performance figure or manufacture considered to post on a Mini forum this would be their exampled response at least by that forum.
I noticed a thread I posted in a couple of times got closed because of "bitching between posters" and "offering no new insite or information to the original topic" or some such nonsense. The interesting thing to me is that I thought everyone was being exceptionally well behaved in the thread, I didn't see any of the usual turf guarding going on.... As to the site itself, every few weeks or so I think their hosting company turns the speed down to "cold molasses" - I get so frustrated just trying to open a thread I just give up and motor on.....
Unfortunately my IT dept doesn't allow any connections to proxy servers.....or I haven't been able to figure out how to yet. :mad2:
