    The switch is on the right bonnet (hood) latch, its sticking...a little silicone spay should fix it.

    No, use silicone spray. WD 40 will dry out and the problem will come back.

    The spray might work but, I could better understand that working if the "button" was stuck closed meaning the light won't come on. Once the hood/trunk is closed the button should be compressed as always and the light turn off. Unless... What I had to do on my '06 cabrio for the boot light to turn off was tape a washer right where it touches said "button" to compress it alittle more and it turned off. Probably a better way to do it out there but it worked for me and I left it like that for years..

    Update got back from a service today and now the lights off lol, not sure if they did something but regardless it's off... for now...

    Yup I might put some of the silicon spray just to avoid any issues, I'm assuming it had to just be the latch stuck
