Gaassi must have secured another big $pon$or. I'm sure Memo brought a barge load of pesos with him, Telemex is huge. I think Joey Hand will do a good job for the team. Guess this means he is no longer running DTM.

 

Joey leaving DTM/BMW......hadn't thought about that. Glad he picked up a god ride (even though I hate Ganassi).

Looks like Jon Fogarty has stuck with Gainsco's move to PWC in a new Ferarri.

 

Those commercials pay for that race you are watching, I don't like them either. I DVR the race & skip the content I don't care for. Works well for me, maybe it would for you too.

 

Well, I would except for two things......I don't have FS2, so I lost the feed till tomorrow morning and secondly I'd wind up fast forwarding 90% of the show!

And I cannot understand why the TV "commentators" think they have to talk nonstop thru the whole telecast....I wind up just muting the sound after a while, their constant chattering is beyond annoying!

I know I sound like a grumpy old man and maybe I am, but just think about how much more enjoyable it would be to watch if you didn't have to listen to that machine gun chatter constantly - I'm not saying it's not helpful to have the broadcasters, they just need to throttle it back about 50%....

 

#007 got nailed hard by #51. Not cool. Been fun to watch thus far, though.

 

MSR Is running in 2nd currently. !!

 

Heck of a finish and a hard fought win for the Ganassi team - well done boys!
Heck of a win for Ford too, beating the big V-8s with a little turbo 4. The second car dropped out with clutch problems, nothing to do with the engines, they were strong all race.

Of course, it did help that their closest competitors screwed up and had to make a driver change in the last 10 minutes, then got a drive thru penalty on top of that! I don't think the Taylor car could have caught them tho....

Still, to have the first and second place cars 3 sec apart after 24 hours and thousands of miles of racing is very impressive.....

Heck of a group of drivers thru out the pits - lot's of former F1 guys, some NASCAR boys, a number of Indy car drivers as well as the who's who of international sports car racing - really good race this year.

 

Wanted to see the MSR boys do better but with the short amount of time they've had with the Ligier I can't complain.

Sebring will give us a better look at the possibilities for the rest of the season.

 

I'm sure MSR will improve & get to the top step. Pretty good showing for a new car/engine combination. Maybe they need some of Metalman's magic wicker bills, they worked their magic in 2012.

 

Well........I thought it sounded like a V-6, but the all knowing talking heads said it was a 4 cyl!

Like I said, I watched the IMSA feed, and that wasn't too bad.....but I agree about getting a better TV feed. Fox Sports is just awful.

 

Even if they have to live by P2 rules they will get on top of things. It will just take some time. I'm a cynic too, but also a dreamer. :wink:
