Does this mean that the people who swore off Tudor (because of where they chose to have their races) are fans again because there is a MINI team?
Supporting a MINI team has nothing to do with supporting a race series that doesn't support the local economy. I still don't understand why they don't have Mid Ohio on their schedule. I continue to support Michael Shank Racing and Tudor has nothing to do with that support. It appears you're looking behind the curtain for something that's not there.
The F56 gets a pass because it is a race car. Besides I have been shown the error of my ways by a good friend & now I feel the F56 is a beauty of of a car. :biggrin5:
If MINI USA had provided support to Randy at RSR I believe he would have continued with MINI and not switched to Honda. The expense of developing the Gen 2 at that time (because his Gen 1's were no longer allowed by rules) was too costly without manufacturers support. He got the support from Honda. Sarah and OT were starting to excel in the RSR MINI's.
Aren't you supporting Tudor by supporting MSR and the MINI team, chances are that neither team would exist without the series? So are you going to go watch the Tough Mudder event at Mid-Ohio to support the local economy?
Just asking a question. I wonder how much longer Mid-Ohio will be around since they are down to like 4 big events a year.
From what I've been told, they have presented a much more competitive proposal to try to get the TUDOR Series back. I would hate to see them close down but those types of things happen. Hell, there's talk of Buckeye Lake being drained so anything a possibility . Glad it's not a pi$$ing contest again, I'm getting too old for that carp.
Oh boy a good old fashioned piss off. Don't piss into the wind guys. It is a real shame that by the time RSR got competitive their cars were no longer allowed in the series. No idea why MINI didn't help them, a very stupid move for sure. Can't blame RSR for moving on to a different car. The Honda was a known package that did not require them to sort it on with their own funds. Mid-Ohio is not going anywhere. They have cut back on maintenance of the infrastructure & raised prices to uncomfortable levels. That doesn't make me happy, but that doesn't matter to them. They will keep chugging along. Heck even Nelson Ledges manages to hang on. If they drain Buckeye ocean there will be carp for the picking.
New and Old BMWs The new and old BMW race cars were on display last weekend at Amelia Island. A lot of technology has changed in the racing world in 40 years. The MINIs are scheduled to race at Sebring on Friday. Hope someone gets some photos to share with us.
