I saw that. Interesting schedule. A certain contingent of M/A folk will note there's still no Mid-Ohio. Yeah, I think a 2016 thread can wait until the 2015 schedule is exhausted. It'll be easy to post the schedule again. Who knows, maybe they'll tweak it by then anyway. Plus I guarantee there will now be a few weeks of people arguing about how you're supposed to abbreviate that new title.....
I kind of had trouble with abbreviating it this year. TUSCC? USCC? IMSA? Tudor united (sound slike a soccer club)? Next year? Just IMSA or IMSA Weathertech, I guess. I kind of wonder about the CTSCC. That's also a "sports car" championship. But back in my childhood, we would have called it "showroom stock". Back then, you had IMSA Firehawk and SCCA Escort.
I assume you mean the SCCA runoffs. If so, yes, first time since 2005 according to this: https://www.midohio.com/News/2016-SCCA-National-Championship-Runoffs-To-Return-
Good to know the Secret Car Club of America is coming back to Mid-Ohio for the runoffs. Guess I'll be going to Mid-Ohio more than once next year.
Don't forget, today's race at Road America starts at 3PM (E). Fox Sports 1 and, hopefully :fingerscrossed:, streaming on imsa.com.
Don't anyone tell me who wins. I've got it DVR'd, just got into the first half hour and I had to switch to watch the Dodgers. Looked like some "Extremely tight motor racing!" I'll pick it up in a couple hours...
Here's the full race broadcast from Road America. I'm surprised to say I actually enjoyed the streaming version better but I think it's because the IMSA Radio guys (aka Radio LeMans announcers, not everyone's cup of tea) did a slightly better job of keeping track of everything going on in all the classes. The race was worth every penny for Bergmeister's stalking of the Ferrari over the last several laps. The inevitable happened several corners before the finish.
good race weekend - it had all the ingredients of a "bigger" racing event. Action, stars, fast cars, crowds, girls, the smoke from the bratwurst concessions, etc - Road America at its best Westbrook/Valiante third fastest in Sunday morning warmup by Peter Burke, on Flickr Gavin and Milner swapping seats by Peter Burke, on Flickr Ready for rain by Peter Burke, on Flickr Christian Fittipaldi making his watch sponsor happy by Peter Burke, on Flickr The grid is a busy place by Peter Burke, on Flickr Paul Miller Racing Audi R8 LMS getting final attention before the race by Peter Burke, on Flickr got 3000 images to go through - barely scratched the surface so far
I believe you may be out of luck. I think it's PWC that has the CBS Sports deal. TUSCC broadcasts on Fox: IMSA | TUDOR United SportsCar Championship | Continental Tire Road Race Showcase
Anyone remember these two from the RSR MINI racing days? Cattaneo, Trinkler Overachieving as Underdogs in CTSC ST Season (sportscar365.com) Full article here.
