Enjoyed watching the race today...and what a great move by RSR to get Kenny Schrader into the #195 MINI. The Speed Channel race announcers spent a credible amount of time focusing on the car and chatting with Ken over the radio during the ample yellow flag time. The end result was that RSR and the MINIs received a lot of bonus attention.
ST always seems to get the short shift from GS anyway, so it was fun seeing the dedicated focus time on the team.
I thought the MINIs were able to hold their own pretty well in the long straights at Elkhart Lake -- better than I would have thought. Congrats to the team for getting 3 cars into the top ten. -

More rev's and a clamp on the Kia (guess corporate sponsorship to Grand Am doesn't hurt)
Was a fantastic race and nice to see all those drivers walk away from those accidents, same for the Rolex race. -
- extra weight?
- RPM limit?
- boost limit?
- tuning/ECU/etc? -
RPM reduction that was mandated for them is what's hurting the most. Not as much top speed, which the Mini has never been a superstar at anyway. Grand Am also reduced boost on some other teams....all in an effort to get Kia up front...which it has and HP is their biggest Achilles heel sense they have been allowed to change and improve just about every single other thing on the dang cars...

I guess an equal playing field is just not a possibility. :^(

No ECU tuning at all........!?
Wow
How can they possibly control that on the other cars? -
