Jan knows each car can be different that's why he does an few runs / pulls with your car to make sure everything is fine tuned and you are satisfied.

He should be at Fontana all week if you have any tune issues or just have questions and need advice even if he does not tune your car at the Dragon.

We do full custom dyno tuning here in Atlanta if you want a dyno tune. We also offer the JCW tune, and basic tunes if you decide to go that direction.

If a motor is high mileage squeezing it hard with a tune could get costly.

A good quality tune should not stress the engine any more than normal. All the tune will do is to maximize the potential of the engine and ECU. Now YOU may be stressing the engine a bit more simply cause it is more fun to drive it...!

^^^Ummm kind of, because I can take my car up to 7800 + on the Dyno and that is stressing the car more than normal. Also a car on a dyno does not get any air moving through the rad except for a box fans or little blowers that are set up in front of the car. I don't think they are pushing air at 90 + into my rad to keep things cool on full pulls.

Dynos tunes are more stressful on a car being tuned and if done correctly they can very beneficial over a street tune. Don't get me wrong a custom street tune is still a great tune if done by a person that knows what they are doing.

I'm for squeezing out everything I can. I want 300 hp with the new motor I'm going to build. My car was $2300 and the parts are cheaper than any other cars I have or have ever had, so if I blow it up in the drive for HP I'll just fix it!
This is also the only car that puts a smile on my face every-time I drive it!

I may be wrong, but I thought Jan did not want to tune high mileage cars. Enlighten me.

It all depends how you take care of your car. If your OCD like me then its no issue.

If you just got the car 6 months ago and have not done anything besides put gas in it, that may be a different story.

That can't be, if so then he will be out of business soon as the cars all reach high miles.
