Hate to tell you this, but its holds the fastest MINI in Time Attack around a track called Cadwell Park & Snetterton on street tyres here in the UK, so it can stop and turn![]()

Thomas & Scott got it all back together last night......this block is the same wall thickness as the last block so at least we can see if it happens again or was it just many years of nitrous abuse.........some people say it could of been detonation even though there was none of the usual signs you normally would see on the spark plugs.
The plan is to try and make sure Dave the short-block stays in there for the rest of the year or at least the next 3 weekends after this one
While the engine was out we had the bulkhead / inner wings and the underside of the hood repainted-

Cheers Nathan
So Saturday was going to be one of those nice relaxed dyno days.......we were going to dyno then rush to Santa Pod but as the weather had changed to being dry for Sunday we decided to have a relaxing day today.
First off Thomas had spotted a leak from the car, so I actually had to work on the car for the first time, I quickly discovered a crack had appeared in the power steering pipe, so off it came and Thomas welded it up so problem solved.
Next up was to fit The Knock Box so Thomas could listen and see if we were getting any det..........so this was installed and then onto the dyno.
We had noticed previously that the oil had got water in it and in normal fashion come up with all the excuses good racers do that it was going to be ok........and it was upto 6k......but as soon as we took the revs up and increased the boost the mayo appeared......so even though the headbolts are all tight we believe the head is lifting
Now this is where it got all a bit weird......myself & Thomas decided that we wouldn't go testing on Sunday for the fear of the water coming out and going on the slick and making the chances off putting in the wall high.
So now the plan is to pull the engine & g.box as its booked in the Tueday 29th May after our bank holiday over here to get the bulkhead re-sprayed and obviously work a solution for the cylinder head / studs / headgasket.
There was some positives as you can see by the amount of torque we picked upbetween 4700 -6600, this will defintley help in the first 330ft-

Looks like we've got a consistent 11.2 @ 126 MINI......if the track comes round we might nick a 1/0th tomorrow but at the moment Thomas is having to pedal it after about 6/10ths after leaving....we cant really see anywhere else we can pick up any ET from.
Our first qualifier is at 9am tomorrow
