So this is what we've just made on the dyno, looks like our 60ft will suffer and Thomas will have to change into 5th before the finish line, but we should see a new personal best MPH tomorrow and with a bit of luck maybe the ET, but the 4th to 5th will hurt us by 2/10ths

What a weekend.....Thanks for all the kind words and messages .....hopefully this is just the start of Old Red's 10 sec life......we have loads of data to look at and loads of ideas how to make Old Red faster and hopefully consistant 10s and 130+ mph runs for the rest of the year...... but for now here's the first 10sec ticket and a few 11.0s for Round 4

Its been a long time waiting for the scoreboard to light up starting with 10

    1097312903_zps9f650938.png

And here is that ticket on our first qualifier and run of the day

    P1080682_zps0258746f.jpg

Our 2nd qualifier, our best 60ft and our quickest 1/8th of the weekend.......Thomas didn't like how it felt on the 3rd to 4th,,,,,but everything checked out ok

    P1080693_zps0d97dc4a.jpg

Our 3rd qualifier and the first 130mph trap speed in the 1/4 for a MINI in Europe

    P1080697_zpse055ef86.jpg

For the 2nd time in a row we qualified 3rd :)

    P1080718_zpsdbe0d7f0.jpg

This was the ladder for today.......Amy had the lucky break this weekend as No 1 qualifier Richard Batty hurt his engine so had bye's to the final

    P1080719_zps58c1071e.jpg

For the first time this year we won our first round with a holeshot

    P1080705_zpscf6909f9.jpg

Our semi final round against Kiel was a foregone conclusion and Thomas backed off in 4th again with Kiel running another consistent 9 sec pass

We have so much footage to go through but hopefully we will get a video up this week :) but for now just in case you hadn't seen on FB here's a link to a video of the 10 sec run

Our next outing is at The Bug Jam on the 19th -21st July at Santa Pod

Smoked the slicks off the line like if it was doing another burnout then shook them in the top end of 1st.....still more to come

Hopefully we will run another 10 this afternoon

What ever happened to running the Sprintex?

Wasn't much of the next big thing with only s race or two under its belt before fading away... Was it?

Well today wasn't the day as the very next run was a disappointing :) .......
    P1080900_zpsdcc09153.jpg

Got back to the pits and did the routine compression test and it was showing No 2 was 10psi down compared to the last run....so a leakdown proved that there was definitely an issue......head off and we eventually found that exhaust was bent and the seat had moved............luckily we found a company who hopefully are fiting 8 new seats for tomorrow afternoon, so we should get back out Sat

It would have been impressive if they could have done a real burnout, had launch control and someone that knew how to shift a drag car.

Other than that I guess it was good.:devil:

MINI's are for twisties not 1/4 miles.

I could beat that car in a 1/2 mile as long as we go 8th mile and turn around and race back.

I bet that car can't stop or turn.
