I have to sit back and laugh at the audacity of some people. I couldn't imagine asking someone to pay for something like that. It's a hobby, and here's a very basic process map of how said hobby works...

Guy likes cars --> Guy SAVES up through hard work --> Guy buys a car --> Guy gets a little too excited and doesn't do the proper research on mods and blows car up --> Guy SAVES up through hard work --> Guy fixes car and motors on --> etc etc etc.

The "saves up" part is the key. Fun like we have costs money. No two ways about it. The fact that people have donated over $1,000 to him, for which they will never get it back, is mind-blasting to me.
