I get the tire warning some years in the fall if we get a sudden big temp drop. My guess is the cold causes enough of a drop in air pressure for the sensor to notice. Check the pressures to be sure then reset the system (procedure is in the manual).

:cornut: Window-I can't help there until I know whether your car is an R50,R52, R53,R56 etc.
Tire Light- Check all tire pressures to ensure that they are equal and at proper pressure (36-38psi on my R56). From what you describe, one or perhaps all of the tires are low.

R53, sir.
Also, I have checked my tires and made sure. Added pressure to about 38psi to all four and it just occurred again just two nights ago, so I don't really understand it lol
Thanks for the quick reply btw := -

For an R53 just reset it. This happens sometime when the seasons change.
Turn on your car.
HOLD DOWN low tire button by your e-brake for 30 seconds or so then let go of the button.
Shut the car off and restart your car.
The light should be gone.
I have even mastered doing this while driving to work on very cold days when the stupid light comes on.
Make sure all your tire pressures are ok or the light may come on again if you really have a problem. -

Would make sense.. We dropped from 80 degree days/65 degree nights to 50 days/30 nights a few days ago.
Thanks for the advice/replies everyone.
Now, about that stuck windowut:

I am not sure about the stuck window. I have heard of people hitting the door in a "special" spot but this issue has never happened to me.
Well at least not yet.:fingerscrossed: -

Ah, dang... Welp, guess I'll take it apart tomorrow and see what I can do.

How do you know the motor isn't seized/inop if the window won't move?

Is your car an R53 or R56? Pic is of an R56, reset procedure is different between them. For the R56, it's in the owner's manual.
As to the window, is it off the track, or the winder mechanism broken, or?????
Could be any number of things, did you check the fuses? Does the motor make anynoise when you click the switch?
Could be a programming issue too.
Haven't heard of anyone having to do the Fonzi move on R56 windows..... -

The special spot to hit is just above the speaker and below the opener handle (per sewing site search).
For reference - Another way the tire monitor can be activated is when driving "for some distance" on an uneven surface, such as road construction that has right hand wheels on a different surface contour than the left hand wheels. I surmise the rotational speed delta is enough to trip the light. This happened to me in the middle of a road trip. -

Anyway, the picture was an example of the icon (I'm sure everyone already knew what I was talking about though)
It's an R53, '04 Cooper S. There's is also a lot of road construction on my commute to work, so maybe.
You can hear the window motor attempting to operate. My old Camaro's window motor when it was seized, wouldn't even make an attempt.
I took the door panel off and something was caught in the track. Window is operable now as well.
Thanks everyone. -
My tire light sometimes comes on for no apparent reason but only with my winter wheels/tires. I still check the pressure just in case but I usually end up just resetting it.

The temp swings in winter often will trigger the tire nanny light. Rule of thumb is you lose 1 pound of pressure for every 10 degree drop in temp. Add to this tires lose about 1 pound of pressure a month.
