The C&C today in Lafayette, CO was a freeze out at least for me. We have light drizzle and clouds with the 33 degrees and holding. This afternoon a big EuroHarvest event in Golden, CO is supposed to be held cold, rain and/or snow. We shall see. I am obviously not out motoring this morning, to damn cold for this old guy. Forecast says warmer weather coming, I hope it holds for the next two weekends as we have our Yalla Yalla event on the 13th and Motor-Tober on the following Saturday at RS MINI. Brrrrrr.... Don
I do not do cold well, so I was a no-show for either activity. How did it go. I saw one picture on FB. It looked wet, cold and made me stay home by the fireplace.
Went down to 45 here while I was at an MLS game. Not as cold as your area, but man I'm not ready for these cold temps.
At one point there where probably 120 or so cars, but quite a few didnt stay very long. I was there from about 3:30-6:00 and it was 30 degrees according to the thermometer in the jeep when I left. Only 3 MINIs in the bunch ( nobody I knew) and it was mostly Audis making up the group. Some nice E30 BMWs and some good looking VWs. I pretty much stayed around Tori from PES the whole time and only took a couple pics.
Very nice considering how crappy a day. How is young little Tori? Still a wild child? I saw PES was out, did they bring down the race MINI or the Pikes Peak Car? Sorry I missed, but I am a warm, healthy and happy guy. Don
Tori is doing ok I guess, just got a new tatoo.:frown2: She was the only one who made it out from Peak! Earnie got cought up fixing something at the shop, then had to go somewhere and couldnt make it. To top things off Tori had to drive the Transit courtessy shuttle out by herself. Man she LLLLOVES driving that thing.... (Sometimes sarcasim is hard to put into text) There where a couple racecars out though. SCR brought their M3 in a trailer, another shop had a 1000 HP VW brought in a trailer, and one of the guys from one of the racing schools had a Corvette ZR1 on slicks that he drove to the show.
