Rumor has it they're changing their colors to yellow...Might want to get a shirt with some yellow on it, and be first on that bus...
I will be over it when they are either champions or get defeated. UK will never wear yellow but good try.
I like the college sports better for now since I believe the pros are paid to much. Especially since they always want more money.
I dunno, the college athletes are over paid too. As Alonzo Highsmith famously said, after four years of college, he decided to take a pay cut and join the NFL. Not a big fan of "one and dones," big time college athletics is far from "the student athlete" ideal, it's tough to watch at times. Calipari can spin it any way he wants, but I have more respect for coaches like Wichita State's or Wisconsin's, and not just because I live there. Won't argue about pros being overpaid though. GO WISCONSIN!!!!!
I hear you. I only watch college basketball during the finals and then only if KY is playing. I only root for them since that is where I grew up.
I've gone that route too. I remember when I was a kid (grew up in Champaign, Il) and bled orange and blue, and followed college basketball and football religiously. It's just not the same, although the tournament is still great as is bowl season.
We graduate in Wisconsin, in Kentucky, we don't.... Rum4, whomever did that sign is obviously a fan of Kentucky and not a graduate--everything was spelled correctly so I'm assuming they went to school somewhere else.
Go UCONN!!! And I can't believe I just wrote that. I used to HATE that team, when Jim Calhoun was there, pretending to be squeaky clean, and when he finally did get caught, threw his assistants under the bus, including firing a few of them, without manning up himself. Whet a joke, and getting off with a three game suspension was a farce on the part of the NCAA. I'm becoming a Kevin Ollie fan though--what a great job he's done getting that team through the season and tournament. I wasn't surprised to see Kentucky in the final, but UCONN, I never gave them a second thought.
I couldn't care less who wins, after all my teams got beat way too early. However, I'm definitely not pulling for UConn after hearing that it's already No. 1 in another category: The University of Connecticut is the only school in this year's tournament with a single-digit 2013 NCAA Graduation Success Rate for its men's basketball program (9). Next best (worst?) GSR: 29. The average for all of the participating teams is 72. UConn also was the only program with an NCAA Academic Progress Rate below 900. The UConn basketball program should be shut down until someone there remembers that the primary function of a university is education.
