Or at least teaching their athletes phrases they can use in real life, like "Would you like fries with that?" Or "Not guilty, your honor." :frown2:
Well some of us hicks are educated regardless of what other folks think. Maybe those from Wisconsin graduate cause they know they can't make it in the NBA even after playing 4 years of college ball. :cornut:
UCONNs graduation rate is due to Calhoun, not Ollie, another reason I don't like Calhoun. It will be MUCH better under Kevin Ollie, who appears to actually care about his players. Can't get much worse... There have been a few Badgers in the NBA, and they're easy to spot. They're the guys who never take their sweats off, and keep the water bottles cold for the ex-wildcats. Of course, when they're all done with the NBA, and all those wildcats go bankrupt because they didn't learn how to manage their money in their one year of college, those magnanimous badgers are usually more than happy to rehire their ex teammates at slightly than minimum wage, so it's all good....:cornut:
Yea it's all good. Good thing is even though they may not take their sweats off they are still making money do it really doesn't matter. Hopefully those cars will not burn threw all their money before they retire.
When it's all said and done, all I wanted was a great game--and we got that! Wallets a little lighter thanks to Buffalo Wild Wings, but other than that all is good. Props to Kentucky, and to Calipari-- not a fan, but he did do a good job, as did the team, coming together toward the end of the season--there was a time where they could have folded like last year, but they fought through it. I wonder how many of their players will be back next year--I could see Randle and Young going, but IMHO it would be too early for the Harrison's. Kentucky will be very good next year--so will Wisconsin, with four starters returning.
Well now we know it ended just like the last time.:ihih: The North WON AGAIN. It was a good second half.
It was a good game. I am not a collage athletics fan, I am all about the education that is “supposed” to be provided. But our places of higher learning are not really worried about all that as long as that green stuff keeps coming in. As someone that was in and still around the military it provides a sense of pride when “your school” makes it. I just happened to grow up down the road from UCONN so yea I route for them, usually for the women’s BB team though. Oh, the women play tonight for another championship and have a 92% graduation rate. If they pull it out it will be only the second time that men’s and women’s teams from the same school have won the NCAA championship for the same sport.
The UCONN women should win, probably easily, with ND's point guard out. Really a shame, it would have been a great game if both teams were at full strength. It would be a major upset if ND won.
