Yuck..
Imagine how much worse it would have looked if they did not have the key chain air freshener to keep the mold in check. -

You couldn't get me to even sit in that mold farm. Nasty & most unhealthy Once something has that much mold it will come back. If the owner is smart he'll dump it. Yikes!

That would bother me too, whether it would come back again, but apparently the work they did will be fine as long as it doesn't get wet again. Part of the job included a small dehumidifier which he's supposed to use overnight till it no longer pulls any water out of the car.
I'd guess the other thing they'd need to d is fix the leak that caused the problem originally.
That and not leave the car parked for 4 months..... -

I call bull feathers. That stuff will never go away short of striping down the interior.

In general I agree, however, the Katrina cars were submerged, this car just had wet carpets and then was closed up for 4 months, I would think the moisture and resulting mold would only be on the surfaces...
Still, I doubt I would want to own it either... -
Yeah, I call BS. Living in the mold capital, it doesn't go away. We use that dehydration pack in the truck to keep things at bay since we drive it once a week (except for autoX weekends). Also, having had mold like that grow on my tack, if left in the barn for a few days, it never goes away. Constant cleaning will keep it at bay, but never gone. Those spores are in the carpet and seat padding. And judging from the before picks, the owner wasn't big on regular cleanings. Thanks for the mold PSA!

Yeah, thinking about the surfaces he didn't get to under the seats, behind and under the dash. I am sure whoever owns that car will have a sneezing fit every time they hop in. Eeesh.

No doubt!! Bets on whether or not they threw away all the crap that was in the car?
