I like the light system. Watching an endurance race at the track while not being able to see a score board it's hard to know who is where. (not that we'll see it at Mid Ohio this year)
The lap time thing is like what they did in drag racing with brake out times. That saw auto equipped hatch backs beating real racers. Bad idea. -
I always used an I-card hooked to a Gameboy, it gave everything in real
time, positions, lap times, etc. When I say real time it was pretty close,
was only updated when each car's transponder crossed the start/finish. -

Fox didn't screw that first bit up. They actually didn't cut to a commercial every 5 min. Too bad we have to chase around coverage. No Fox Sports 2 here.

A collision involving the No. 62 Risi Competizione Ferrari F458 Italia of Matteo Malucelli was hit from behind by the fourth-place No. 99 GAINSCO Corvette DP of Memo Gidley. Both drivers have been transported to local hospitals, and both cars have been retired from the event. -
