Good race it was, and they are getting the cars more evenly matched. Still some tweaking to be down but getting close...

The classic colors on the Vipers was good while they lasted. New sponsorship means new livery.

I like what they are going to do for the GT Daytona class.

I like it too, but I'm not paying to race them. Isn't GTD the least expensive class in the series at the moment?
I imagine some of the teams running in GTD, esp. any who switched to the class with the series merger, will be less than thrilled with the increased costs that come with GT3 level upgrades. -

But it will allow them to purchase factory cars at what will probably be a very competitive price as the manuf. can sell a lot more of them.

No Mid-Ohio again this year.:incazzato: Hope my home track can stay alive. Losing a big weekend really has to kill their bottom line.

That sucks! I only did one race this year at Mid-Ohio and have been a VIP ticket holder for as long as I can remember until the New France Family Sports Car Series came to the conclusion that Mid-Ohio isn't a track deserving of their ROYALTY except for their stock car minor league. A letter will go off to these idiots tomorrow with another to Mid-Ohio. It won't help get a decent season next year but it will make me feel better.

You would think with splitting up the classes something could end up at Mid-Ohio.
I think we're going to look at Watkin's Glenn or Road America -

Happy news for some of us, esp. many of the old ALMS fans and the international audience.

I see this as just one of the teams that will say good-bye to the Tudor Series. This series was a circle jerk for the teams this year with constant rules changes and poor officiating. From what I've been told internally it was a 180 degree departure from what IMSA and Grand-Am were.
-
I foresee some DP teams pulling out of Tudor and fielding cars in WC. Patrick Dempsey indicated that they were going to make an announcement at the LA Auto Show. I see him fielding a new DP team next year.
