I really hope they can get it together for next year, but if they can't let's hope the Pirelli World Challenge can accommodate the field.
PWC is already growing. I've seen quite a few entry announcements and the line-up is getting more impressive as the season approaches. But do they really do endurance racing? Haven't watched enough to know.
Not sure as I have never been able to find any full race broadcasts. But that is changing this year as the races will be covered live on the NBC Sports Network. TV Schedule..... http://www.world-challenge.com/index.php?Itemid=216&option=com_drivers&view=events
I know let's have a hundred stick and ball stations and no racing!! Maybe some reruns of curling would be exciting.
Re PWC, Wiki says "Each race has a maximum 50 minute time limit." Given the typical American seems to have the attention span of a gnat (gnat, not Gnat) I assume that sort of 'endurance' appeals to U.S. broadcasters and advertisers. Sarcasm aside, I'm looking forward to the broadcasts. Thanks for the tip I didn't know.
Checked schedule and indeed the races are only scheduled for a total of an hour. Wish sports car racing was a better draw in the US.......
Magnus Racing gets a bit weird in this video... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXJwgC3iuKk]Magnus Racing: Rediscover SportsCar 2 - Sebring Edition - YouTube[/ame]
I tried to find the "recap" for Sunday to record and there is nothing there. Just MORE Fox Sports Live. So you have a racing channel, remove the racing except for nascrap and motorcycles and then fill the space with espn stuff. There are already 3 espn channels. That's enough.
