RMW tuned Porsches go 1-2 ..............should have been 1-2-3 but the leading car ran out of gas on the 2nd to last turn!
I like it too, but I'm not paying to race them. Isn't GTD the least expensive class in the series at the moment? I imagine some of the teams running in GTD, esp. any who switched to the class with the series merger, will be less than thrilled with the increased costs that come with GT3 level upgrades.
But it will allow them to purchase factory cars at what will probably be a very competitive price as the manuf. can sell a lot more of them.
I see them losing teams not gaining them. They don't call IM$A the international money spending association for nothing.
No Mid-Ohio again this year.:incazzato: Hope my home track can stay alive. Losing a big weekend really has to kill their bottom line.
That sucks! I only did one race this year at Mid-Ohio and have been a VIP ticket holder for as long as I can remember until the New France Family Sports Car Series came to the conclusion that Mid-Ohio isn't a track deserving of their ROYALTY except for their stock car minor league. A letter will go off to these idiots tomorrow with another to Mid-Ohio. It won't help get a decent season next year but it will make me feel better.
You would think with splitting up the classes something could end up at Mid-Ohio. I think we're going to look at Watkin's Glenn or Road America
Highlights video from the end of the GT-only race at VIR yesterday. For those who didn't see the race, this begins right at the restart after a late FCY. [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vThlzHtpXeE"]VIR Highlights - 2014 TUDOR Championship - YouTube[/ame]

Twas a fantastic race that came down to a last lap pass for the win!! I was disappointed at first that the Prototypes would not be in the race but without them this was one of the best races I've seen in a long time!! Side note: In the Continental Tire race Saturday in ST, the winning Cayman and the second place Cayman were tuned by our very own Jan at RMW! And no trip to VIR is complete without stopping by and saying hello to the Falken girls!!!
Great race indeed. Watched on the tele here at the old folks home. I felt bad for the Falken Porsche, guess the race was 1 lap too long for them. Damned shame they won't race at Mid-Ohio. :nonod:
