Made a small update today to bring the site in compliance with the Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR, Part 255: "Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising." It is #11 in the Member Policy. In short, without the legalese, it states that the site may or may not make money when you click on a link. But then again I figure most people know this already.
Well..... I certainly will be able to sleep better tonight knowing that a part of my government wants to make sure that something.... may orrrrrr may not happen. But it's OK because they determined that either way.... it's OK. I feel soooo much better now.
Thank you so much for sharing the official "name" of the regulation that has been keeping me up late at night! Sheesh...I was beginning to think I might need to see a doc for the insomnia...you're AWESOME, Nathan! :beer
I'm sure glad I can back out of posting what I'd really like to post. Gov't bureaucratic hoop jumping brings out my best sarcasm and that won't get us anywhere. Nathan, you have my condolences for having to put up with all that #(&%^@#()_@_$(%**@^ furshlugginer *$&()!!))#+.
:cornut:Thanks Nathan. My heart goes out to you man. I wouldn't take your job if ordered to do so at gunpoint. You have to put up with us and the Fed? SHEEESH! Where can I send the bottle of Scotch(just kidding)?:lol: Jasonopcorn:opcorn:
Jason, offering a bottle of scotch is not a kidding matter. Best PM the man, get his address and make it happen. He's sitting there now sadly wondering why you are letting it go at that. Personally, I'd be gnashing my teeth and rending my garment. One of the nice Speysides is always appreciated. PS: He just made some new friends who I'm sure would love to help him enjoy it.
:sad::cornut: You're correct Sir. I'm a horrible tease who has reached a new low; I'm so ashamed!:lol: Jasonopcorn:opcorn:
Don't take it so hard, Jason. Look at it as a learning experience and move on. I'm sure Nathan is too busy getting his sock drawer orgainized to have noticed anyway.
