Don't tell me the two seater is going to be the "Clubman" and the single the "S".

I really like the design. Now, to just hope they make it affordable. -

Looking around online, similar models sell for about $3500. They better do better then that.

That's about where I'd expect it to be. The popular (fuel) honda ones are priced right about there and they seem to have no problem selling.

Gotta say it would make a sweet pit bike!!!!!

And not one word about performance, single motor or two, mounted in the wheels or no, how many miles per charge and so on - the stuff us "Motorers" want to know too!

It's just a press release. It's no surprise that they don't want to release all the details before the true unveiling. I'm sure at the paris motor show they'll have a long introduction full of information about miles per charge and stuff. -

Not sure where I read it, but similar models will go about 40 mph. Range is in the 50-60 miles. For that size you will probably get an about 700 kw electric motor. It is mated to the rear wheel.

I wonder how they intend to prevent the I-phone from getting wet as there doesn't seem to be a cover.

It's a hub motor design
but the size isn't stated. There are hub motor electric scooters out there already, ranging from small (20-25 mph) to a bit faster (~40 mph). Range for most is quoted at 25-35, but some are quoting more. There is space for more battery capacity, it just adds cost though.
But Ralley, it's aimed at an even narrower market: Hipsters with iPhones! Oh, I forgot, they all have them anyway...
Now, I used to ride motorcycles. And really, it's a massivly bad idea to have anything on the info screen other than speed, range and turn signal status. Things happen way too fast on two wheels to be looking at active mapping or the like. Twitter feeds and pop-ups for "scooter friends" will just kill people.

I don't know, Nate. A few weeks ago T and I were walking the dog and all three of us looked on in amusement at a couple of motorcycle guys sitting at a light with Nav units attached to their gas tanks with suction cups.

The more pictures they release of their "target demographic", the more I start to realize that this just might not be for me.

In either case, I wouldn't hit it.

Eww.. I'll stick to my zero emissions bicycle, which also has a higher top speed and doesn't need to be plugged in.
