My only advice at this point would be to just keep it topped off and start checking scrappers for a used motor. When you find one with under 100k miles for a good deal pick it up and store it so if/when that bad day comes you can take a weekend & get it back on the road.
Now of course I'm saying this IF the MINI is in great shape otherwise with no other issues. If there are any other issues then it might be better/cheaper to just drive it until it dies, break it and then use that money to put towards another. -
Hi yes they have been around for a long time ,decent reputation ,ive located the pump and noise defiantly seems to be coming from there ,if I spend £70.00 on a new one and it isn't the problem then im going to burn it :devil::mad5: -

I was thinking of the position of an R53 water pump, that's why the sound position didn't make sense. But without a supercharger...it would be hard to turn the water pump in that position haha. I'm on board now.
