Nice work - creative use of brute force

FWIW, for those who don't want to hacksaw their V1 hardwire module, the flat power cord could be easily routed down under the edge of the headliner and a-pillar cover, and an add-a-circuit used in the fusebox on my 1st gen cabrio... I suspect the same approach would work on the 2nd gen...

I'm not sure if I was just being too gentle, but I was unable to get the power cord down the A-Piller in the 2nd gen. It seems to be a lot less pliable then the 1st gen. counterpart. I was however easily able route the power the same way that you mentioned in my 1st gen.
