I just finished my clutch job, when u kundalini the destroyed pressure plate and fly wheel, I decided to return the master cylinder u had bought thinking it should have bee. Fine, it's not wet and looks good.....

I did replace the slave, I'm compressing the slave all te way and bleeding it, using my vacuum bleeder. The thjng about it is it has black hose sobi don't see the fluid till it drops junto the catch cup, skin bled it a couple times, I just bought clear hose and I'll re do it. But anyway is there a way tk make sure there's fluid in the master? Or does bleeding at the slave make sure there is. I'm using valve line dot3&4 synthetic fluid. The pedal seems weak, and it engages essentially at the floor it comes all the way up but it's weak

I have no idea what the problem is with how you are trying to bleed the clutch but lots of people have failed at this in the past.

    ^^^^

This is why I had the dealership replace both my Master and Slave cyclinders and bleed them correctly.

    Good luck

i just drove it, going from my mothers Impreza sport, and my dads 4cyl. Tacoma, i re discovered the joys of life!!! lol

but yeah it engages low but it feels good, no chatter or anything when im not moving. i think the fact that ive only ever driven it with more tham 68k on the clutch, ive never felt it like this. regardless ill probably pick up a new master and do it tomorow just for the assurance

And Dave, havent you ever heard the whole give a man a fish...teach a man to fish....blah blah blah.......lol i dont like giving my car to people lol, even if they had a phd in clutch bleeding lol, im just that kinda guy:D

What clutch did you replace it with? Going to a single mass flywheel will lighten the pedal pressure, in most cases.

There is a special tool you need to properly bleed the slave on that car, do you have it?

If you didn't remove the master, or let the slave leak for hours while replacing it there shouldn't be air in the master, it sounds like you're bleeding it wrong, or this is normal pedal application for a Valeo SMF clutch setup.
