Agree! IMHO when you compare the price tag, nonexistent options and lack of luxury type items of a GP to dressed MCS JCW, I think MINI fell a little short on performance items. The track car look/feel is there but there are a few things that could have sent it over the edge. Looking at the recent 2013 GP sighting MINI may have been listening. I think the Diffuser is awesome and look forward to seeing the spec sheet if/when it hits the streets.

Apparently the real value is $11,987
Just saw this, it's a file photo but if it's a real GP that's a bargain

$11,987 for a R53 GP!

Well, it isn't a 'file' photo of a GP, that's for sure.

According to the CarFax and the Vin Decoder it is not a GP...what a deal that would have been...
And also according to the Vin Decoder the build date was 1-12-2005, so wouldn't that make it an '05? Also according to the Vin Decoder it is a Pepper White R53.
Lot wrong with that ad... -
I think the date is listed as day-month-year on the decoder. Euro way of doing things.

Probably glad it isn't I was packing my bags for PA. -

Yeah, they listed the color as a GP color, put a non-GP picture in, and used the wrong VIN. If I lived closer I'd go take a look - hence the word "if" in my statement! Sometimes you take a chance and win...

I'm still contemplating a purchase...I want a "hot hatch" as a commuter and am torn between the updates in the GP2 with the original aesthetics of the GP1. Bottom line, the R56 style has never looked good to me compared to the R53.
I'd probably be better off buying a 2014 Cooper and putting some proper suspension, wheels and tires on it. Fuel economy and fun to drive. Its uglier still, however. :nonod:
I tired-kicked a Paceman on Friday...I like the budget Evoque aura it gives off. Might be an option too but I bet it doesn't handle that well. -
