It's got a big assed motor. It's got wheels. It's loud and it goes fast. What's not to like? Are they besmirching the brand just cause they shoehorned a small block chevy in there? It's like a redneck Mini. I like it, but what do I know? I'm a redneck too! :biggrin5:

The body looks a lot like an Anglia, but that grille is throwing me off. The Anglias typically have two long vertical slits in the snout.
I believe this is a late '40's Austin...-

That was freaking awsome! :cornut:
Reminds me of old school 60's drag racing!
Only thing that could have made it better is if it was a gasser!

I like it for the go fast aspect of it, but my only "cry foul" is that all that's Clubman about it is the body. If it had a badass Mini motor and it was smoking everybody, I'd be all for it. But it's powered by Chevy. For the crowd pleasing "look at that! That's something different!" part, hell yeah. But to me, it's just a car playing dress up.

N2MINI MINI of the Month
No different then some of the old fords with chevy motors in them.. Lots of people race some strange combos for whatever reason but most do it because it is what they already had on hand, so why go buy a different car when the clubman is sitting there.. I loved it..

That's a good point of view, N2MINI. My dad built a '56 F-100 with a Chevy 350, so I don't really have much ground to stand on. And I agree, it is a cool concept.

I think that might be an Anglia... My spelling and my guess might be wrong
I cross posted this video to Dick's Garage Build. He needs an engine!

Right country Don wrong make. Quite a few Anglia's were made into altered dragsters. Correct spellzing.

That things got to be a handfull with that short wheel base. Yikes!

I think that's a great use for a mini that has a dead cvt. I bet if one was resourceful, this could be done for less than the cost of having a new cvt installed. My four year old daughter looked over my shoulder while the video was playing and said "that's funny daddy.... Why would anyone do that to a mini?"
