His helmet was dragging on the Tarmac... Woo is that gas or did he wet himself... If it was me.. I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be gas.

Man that guy came an inch or so from landing his head on top of the Jersey barrier. Lucky guy for sure. I think it is very possible that was fuel. YIKES!!!

Go onboard with Doug Peterson at the start of the 2012 June Sprints at Road America as he gets pinched against the front straightaway and rolls the car at 100mph. Five competitors caught the shunt on tape - Carson Weeder, Beau Borders, Sam Lockwood, Robert Noell, and Steve Jenks. Each driver had a wild ride of his own - but nothing compared to what Doug went through. Fortunately he walked away, but the same can't be said for his brand new Formula Mazda.

Cars are replaceable. Doug came inches from losing it all. That footage from pit lane is some scary carp for sure. Doug you are one very lucky guy.

It does make it seem like that guy pulled a brake check, though I dont see any reason why that would be so.

Can't tell what caused it........?! The red/black car that Doug hit was almost stopped on the track. There was nothing in front of that car, the driver just slowed down for no apparent reason as the cars in front of him were long gone by the time Doug got there. It also caused the car directly behind to rear end him. A real bone headed move to take at the start of a race with all kinds of cars behind you.

Yes the.red black car moved right, but me thinks it was to avoid a car on his left. Pretty easy being an arm chair quarterback. I wonder what Doug himself would say?

The car didn't just move right.....it basically came to a stop. Making tghe car behind rear end him and forcing Doug to take evasive action causing the wreck. There were no other cars to his left that would have caused him to slow down, he was in his lane the whole time (red/black car )
