Locks that work by inserting a metal stick and rotating them. Who would have guessed it?
But maybe there are drivers still stabbing at the lock button on their remote and wondering why the glovebox doesn't lock.
Incidentally a lovely touch on a Merc SLK I had was that while the glovebox lock was manual, the large pocket under the centre armrest was locked by the central locking when the top was down. Very useful.
