WOW what a complete waist of time and money.
I loved the antics from the passengers seat it just showed how boring a long flat road can be in a MINI even if you are in a GP.
MINI's need corners.

While the race was interesting - the attitude and behavior of the hosts was both childish and stupid. As an automotive enthusiast I am mortified at their disregard for safety while driving at that speed. It is hard to believe that auto companies give these two nincompoops cars to drive in the name of journalism. What a joke.

I was surprised at how rock-solid and smooth everything seemed to be in the GP-II at 150+ mph.

I was a little disappointed with the antics while driving at speed. I know it was intentional to the whole boring race thing, but it really doesn't set a very good example. 150mph is not something to play around with with any car. Just look at the results of that Honda at Lake Mead.....
There are some corners on this hwy that do req you to slow down, but yes needs more corners! -

I agree 150 MPH is no joke but I am sure it was all part of the comedy in video clip.

I have driven the "race course" before. Incredibly boring. There are 3 turns in 90 miles and those gentle sweepers could easily be taken at 130 MPH in a MINI. It is pretty expensive to drive in the race. And a rookie is limited to the 110 MPH class.
Here is a much better Nevada event - Virginia City Hillclimb 2013 - BMW M3 Forum.com (E30 M3 | E36 M3 | E46 M3 | E92 M3 | F80/X)
