No wonder the Germans are in so much of a mess,
I'm sure you could go to northern New Jersey and
get the same thing done quicker and less expensive.
All that we just saw is figured into the price of our
now overpriced cars. I'm glad I'm on my second
and last MINI.

Looking at the video, it appears that some parting out was done, such as wheels and tires. But, if you let those cars go out into the open market, there is a good chance someone will buy them dirt cheap, and sell them to some unsuspecting consumer.
So, basically, greed is the reason these cars have to be destroyed.
