Now to go to work and practice, "measure once, clamp it, measure again, loosen clamps and adjust, remeasure, tap lightly with a soft mallet, use a bigger hammer, remeasure, use a second rule in case the first was defective, go back to the first rule.". Or something of the sort.
So glad I found this thread on a surprise snow day off from work! Hilarious stuff and a very interesting project too, much better than lots of the equivalent project shows on TV in my opinion!

Yay! I go thru months of Binky withdrawal till the next episode airs, but more than anything I want to see how you're going to engineer around some of the issues you're creating - like where the radiator is going to live and the power steering pump - since you eliminated the speedo drive, how are you going to instrument the car? and so on.....
Plus, I really want to see just how far outside the body the wheels are going to be and how you're going to build arches to cover them, cause it looks to me like the hubs are already outside the shell, which will make the wheels completely outside the shell as it sits now.
