Ha! Well, they are thorough, and good engineers!
They still have a TON of work to do, I don't see them finishing this project till August or so at the rate they're going. I'm sure they're going to build a roll cage yet, and I wonder where they're going to fit the radiator and intercooler, cause the pipes are right up against the front end.
I also wonder if they'll be able to refit the things they took out, like the power steering pump and such. I love watching how they solve these issues..
Can't wait for the next one.....-

While they've really strengthened the lower body, the upper is still made out of the same British tin foil - that's why I really thought they'd put a roll cage in it.
Wonder if they're going to clean and paint the engine and rear diff before they mount it in there?
I also wonder if they'll build the flares (wheel arches) out of metal or if there's a commercial fiberglass arch that will work?
They still have another year's worth of work at this rate, but the car is really turning out well. By the time they're done the only part of the body that will be original to the car is the roof! :biggrin5:-

Yes, that's when he said he wasn't going to fit one.....but they were installing the plates just in case they changed their minds......... I can't believe they won't tho.
Still been an awesome project so far, now that the rear sheet metal's done I'd think the next move is to start fitting the running gear......seems like the front end will have to be removable, or a flip front.
Any guesses what the captive nuts in the back were for? my guess is fuel cell and battery - same with the welded in nut for a ground strap.-
